A new approach. I hope you like it.
Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.
So, what do you think?
Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?
Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.
If faith doesn’t work during times of illness, when will it?
I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

The thing is, most of us feel a little guilty about indulging ourselves. And certainly, we can’t imagine scheduling it. But what’s wrong with… Read more

Can we “gift” happiness? No, we can’t.
Can you think of someone who you would like to wrap up a box of happiness and give to them? I’ll bet you can. I think we all have that “someone” in our lives that is never really happy. We would do anything to improve their outlook on life. But,alas, we can’t.… Read more

When depression lurks in the background.
(I try to post about the link between managing depression through exercise a couple of times a year. I’m a big believer that most people can learn to manage depression without medication. Exercise is one of those ways. If nothing else it eases the discomfort of depression.) Sometimes depression reminds me of a cardinal in… Read more

How to “collage” a tree.
I started this tree picture years ago and only recently got it framed and on the wall. It’s a conglomeration of techniques and media. The rough white background is drywall mud. I used that to create texture for the background. Who says you need to purchase art texturing compound when an everyday item will do as… Read more
