A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • Alphabet of thanks, “X”

Today I am choosing xanthochroism. To say I had limited choices with the letter “X” is redundant. Of course, I could have cheated and used “XOXO” but that would be, hmmm, well, cheating. So what is xanthochroism?  It is the abnormal coloration of feathers in which yellow replaces the normal color, as in certain parrots. Read more

  • Alphabet of thanks, “W”

Water, warmth, wash, watch, watercolor, waves, wealth, weather, wheel, what, when, where, whole, window, winter, wisdom, wonderment, write. I’m thankful for water. I live in Michigan. We have more lakes than any other state. Yes, more than Minnesota.  And, of course, we are also bordered on three sides by the Great Lakes. We have a Read more

  • Alphabet of thanks, “V”

It’s the Holiday season and I am very thankful for vanilla. I love the smell of vanilla, don’t you?  Did you know that women In Victorian times used vanilla as perfume?  (And Bath and Body Works thought they were original? ) I like vanilla in warm milk. I like vanilla ice cream.  I like vanilla pudding. While Read more

  • Alphabet of thanks, “U”

Ukulele, umbrellas, unchanging, underestimate, understanding, unity, unique, unspoken, unusual, upbeat, uplifting. I almost picked unity. But that sounded like what a beauty pageant contestant would say to impress the the judges. But I don’t want to be predictable so I guess it really makes sense that I pick “unique”.  I’m thankful for the “unique”. I like unique. Read more

  • Alphabet of thanks, “T”

I always knew that “T” was going to be “travel”  just like I always knew that “P” was going to be (Pinterest). Today I’m thankful for travel. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. About fifteen years ago, the company my husband worked for was being sold. He had worked for the corporate office (in Georgia) on Read more
