A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • Grace required

We are at Teeney Tiny Red Cabin. I picked up a book at our local mission store called “In the Grip of Grace”, by. Max Lucado. Just flipping through the pages and came across this and wanted to share it. I believe there are many times I’m nudged by God to add an extra post Read more

  • it’s who we ARE not what we DO, 2

Continuing our discussion of “doing” and “being” and where happiness and success fits in, if it does. First, of all, we will never achieve happiness by trying to be happy. We can’t “think” our way into happiness even though we certainly can “think” our way into misery. Funny how that works. Happiness usually sneaks up Read more

  • Tears in God’s bottle

Just having my quiet time with God and wanted to share this verse from Psalm: 56:8. You have taken account of my wandering ; put my tears in your bottle.” Isn’t that wonderful? But what does it mean? Here’s my quick analysis. God is aware and takes notice of every tear, shed or unshed. (If Read more

  • grace explained-not so much

The older I get the more I’m amazed at God’s grace. Sometimes I think I understand what grace is but then God showers me in such a way I realize I didn’t have a clue. And, of course, it always comes when I least deserve it. And, of course, that’s exactly what grace is,       Read more

  • Succeeding is good. I didn’t make the bed.

This morning I told you that this southern woman was not going to make her bed today.  I decided a little change is good, I decided I needed to change things up a bit. Take a chance.   Loosen up. Relax  Give myself a break. It’s evening. Ask me if I succeeded. Go ahead. Ask.   Read more
