A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • today is a “first”

Today is a “first” for me. I’m not making the bed. Youza! Youza! Now to many of the younger generation this is no big deal and I actually admire you for it. (sometimes) But for me, this is a “biggee”. I always make my bed. So why is today different? you may well ask. Because this Read more

  • cheap, lazy communication

OK, so I’m like getting tired of certain popular phrases. Not only are they overused but I find them a cheap way to use the English language. We seem to be using fewer and fewer words (and more pictures, I might add) to describe complex situations. We’ve become a culture of lazy communicators. Here’s a list Read more

  • What is the “Bad Eye”?

I was reading Matthew six and came upon a verse (among many), that I have wondered about. I did some research and found this piece by John Piper. I like this explanation the best so I wanted to share it with you. What Is the “Bad Eye” in Matthew 6:23? August 17, 2005 by John Read more

  • Skinny pants? Uhm, not for everyone

Ok, here’s another of those times when I will probably upset some people. But here goes. What’s with the skinny jeans and leggings everyone is wearing? I went to a cross-country race yesterday. I couldn’t help but notice that boot-cut pants were the obvious exception. Tight jeans and leggings everywhere. And on every body-type. Some women Read more

  • Gravatar followers, thank you.

For some reason, I’m getting a lot of Gravatar followers. I connected with the WordPress Guru’s who explained to me what this means. So-o-o-o-because there is no way to say thank-you individually, I will have to do it here. So, here’s a big thank-you for taking the time to read my blog and following me. Read more
