A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • a new study about depression-Really?

I love it when the media describes something as “new research” or the “latest findings”. Especially when it isn’t new and especially when it’s about depression. Now sometimes it is new research but honestly I can’t think of any research that has been touted as new in the last five years that I haven’t already know and Read more

Scarves.  I’m thankful for scarves. I have at least thirty of them.  Many of them, I’ve knitted or crocheted myself. Today I’m thankful for rain. Rainy days seems to suggest I should putz around the house and indulge myself in hot tea and a book. Rainy days give me pause. Noise? (Photo credit: AGrinberg) Quality, qualify, quake, quarrel, quilt, quiet, quirky. Today I am thankful for quiet. (Quiet doesn’t necessarily mean lack of noise. We can be quiet within even when it’s noisy around us. But for this post, I’m referring to quiet as the lack of noise.) I’m not one of those people who need someone Read more

  • an alphabet of thanks “P”

(This is a re-post from last year but it’s still works for  “P”) There are no options to pick from for the letter “P”. I’ve had this one settled on since the beginning. It’s PINTEREST-YEA!!!!! Here’s how my descent into the Pinterest “abyss” began. It was October, 2011, when my daughter remarked, “Hey, mom.  I’ve Read more

Choices (Photo credit: anyjazz65)Today’s choice was narrowed to “obvious”, “openness”, “organize” and “options”. I like things that are obvious. I don’t like playing guessing games with life. I like concrete answers. I like people that are open. I don’t like people that have an agenda, you never know where you stand with them. I like to organize-things, my Read more
