Depression and the pit? Don’t get comfortable. There’s a way out

One of the interesting and sad facts about depression/anxiety is that we get so comfortable with the condition  we can’t imagine life any other way. While there are some things we do have to adjust to and learn to live with, depression and anxiety is NOT one of them.

So if you’re dwelling in a pit of despair, don’t get too comfortable. Don’t become like the frog in the boiling water so after awhile you think your condition is normal. Too many people do that. Even if it takes you a long time to leave your pit, you can do it. One step up at a time. The tiniest of changes today gets you closer to seeing the daylight at the top.

What change can you make today? There’s always something.
