A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

How “lying in green pastures” helps relationships

I think I’ve told you in the past that I don’t like ambiguity. I like concrete answers. I like the obvious. And that spills over to relationships. I don’t like chaos in my home or in my relationships. When I decorate a room, I study decorating blogs. I look through magazines. I gather information. But… Read more

Friendships can be tricky at times

I have some wonderful friends. I am closer to some than others. Some are friends I’ve had for many years. Others are in the “dating” stage, meaning the friendships are new. I’ve also been privileged to talk with many women in course of leading Bible studies, retreats, and in my role as a hospital chaplain.… Read more

Why it’s wrong to assume anything about anyone

Yea! No green-eyed monster showed up last night. Aren’t you wondering what I’m talking about? Well, I’m going to tell you. My husband and I are in a small group at our church. Last night we met at a different couple’s home. I was curious because you know how you just can tell some people… Read more

A great find for the walls at my she-shed.

I found these cute little scones at a local mission store. They were perfect for the bunkhouse.   You can see some leftover hot glue from a previous project. I finally managed to get it off.   Aren’t they cute? Hope you enjoyed the “mini” tour. Will be posting more pictures next week. God bless… Read more

Think you’ll like my paper tissue garland

(If you read my posts starting last week Thursday, you know my husband was taken to ER for what looked like a heart attack. Praise God it wasn’t. Don’t for sure what it was but could have been dehydration. We will be seeing his primary care physician this week. It was scary but we both… Read more

Hubby home and all is well.

I always like to update people when I’ve asked for prayers. My husband not only passed all his tests but he did so with flying colors. All of his labs are extraordinarily good. Even better than ever before. He had open heart surgery over twenty years ago and the doctors and staff couldn’t get over the… Read more
