How to “erase” a scratch in furniture without sanding.

So what happened? I just had this post completely finished and it didn’t ‘save”. It disappeared.

I’m was not happy.

So here I go again.

Have you ever got a big scratch on a piece of furniture and thought, “Oh, no. I’m going to have to sand and refinish it.”

Well, maybe you haven’t.

Anyway, I saw this tip on Pinterest and decided to give it a try.

Here’s what the scratches looked like:

I took a walnut and rubbed it over the scratches. Here’s the walnut all crumbled from my repeated rubbing.fixing scratches/diy

Here’s the final product. No more scratches. It really does work. Any nut will do. Since then, I’ve used pecans with the same results. I’ve also used it on my laminate flooring.

So this got me to thinking.

Do you have a “sandpaper” person in your life?

sandpaper

Everyone should have one.

My mom was that person for me on occasion.

Sometimes she should have used a finer grade of paper. It hurt a little too much. But even at those times, I always took to heart what she said to see if there were any truth in her criticism. I grew closer to God because of it. I still loved her so deeply and miss her even more.

If you have such a person in your life, it helps if you think of them as just another of God’s conduit to speak truth into your life. And often God used these people because He can’t get our attention any other way.

God bless and have a good day.
