A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • What to do when you’re ashamed of yourself

What to do when you’re ashamed of yourself

Boy, have you ever gone through a spell when you were thoroughly and completely ashamed of yourself? I sure have. I sure am. Not because I’ve done anything to be ashamed of but because I feel my heart has been so lacking in compassion. We can be so hard on ourselves. We prefer to punish ourselves rather… Read more

I like to “collage” which means using paper, paint, and lots of others things  to create a painting. It tickles my fancy ’cause I get to play with paper, (my fav), paint, (another fav), and glue. Plus, I can hide a lot of mistakes. Anyway, I will show close-ups for you to get a better idea… Read more

Check out my new blue shelf and orange accessories

(I did these projects two years ago. Chalk painting on glass is one of my favorite projects. One Christmas I painted mason jars with chalk paint for everyone in my family. It has been my favorite project so far. I’ve often said, if I came into a financial windfall, I don’t know what I’d do… Read more

  • How to avoid “updating creep” with our values

(Today’s reblog has pictures of some of my favorite re-purposed furniture pieces. I’m thinking of repainting the orange chest this year.  I love orange but, hey, that’s why I buy “thrifted” furniture. I can repaint as often as I like. Spring is almost here so start looking for those great furniture pieces. I have been… Read more

Great DIY pedestal using glass and metal

(Here’s a project from about three years ago. I used this for Easter. This pedestal is one of my favorite items and I’ve used it lots of different places. If you make one of these and use a hot glue gun, it it kind of “temporary” in that you can take it apart. This one… Read more
