A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • why and how this blog is different

I read a number of blogs about depression before I launched my own.  I want to be kind with what I say next but I’ve done an exorbitant amount of research and I know what I’m going to say is consistent with that research. Many of these blogs posts sound the same all the time.… Read more

Don’t worry about the high fat content-it’s the good stuff. It’s the fat that can actually lower your cholesterol. Anyway, what I don’t like though is trying… Read more

  • How to cope with the changing seasons

September. A change of seasons. The days are getting shorter. Nature pulls the shade on daylight earlier each day preparing us for “our long winter’s nap.” This is the time for the depression-prone to monitor themselves more closely. One particular type of depression, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), is very prominent in my part of the… Read more

    Self-discovery at the Toyota dealer.

I’ve decided I”m a strange woman. My husband says I keep his life interesting. It’s not that I’m not “girly” and all but I just hate doing some typical “girly” things, like getting my hair done. Actually it’s been years and years since I did that. I only go the occasional hair-cut and I resent that every bit… Read more
