A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • Why dissatisfaction can be a GOOD thing

You all know how much I love our “teeny-tiny red cabin”.  I’m at such peace when I’m there. God seems to meet me there in a special way.  (Or maybe it’s that I seek Him more. ) I’m perfectly happy with my seven hundred square feet. We added a bedroom three years ago but it’s Read more

  • I hope you really like my revamped coffee table.

I was looking through some old posts and realize I never posted this so I thought I would today. I did it a couple of years ago so the picture of the living room is not exactly as it appears now. Also, I don’t have a before picture.  It had a dark finish. But had Read more

  • Things I always buy at garage sales and thrift stores.

There are lots of bloggers who have listed what to buy at garage sales and thrift stores. I thought I would add my two cents. My number one item is always furniture.  Even the most damaged piece, even that most awful colored piece, can become a treasure. A number of years ago I bought this Read more

  • The night it all happened for me. Part one.

The night it all happened for me. Part one.

I have shared how I’m writing a devotional book for Christians who struggle with depression. Originally, the book was going to be in a typical book format, not a daily devotional. So much of what was in that first book will not be included with the new format. But I got to thinking, I’ve already Read more

How is Covid-19 changing your life for the better?

How is Covid-19 changing your life? Can anyone deny our lives have changed almost overnight? We have been told how to live our lives.  Our children are no longer in school.  We’re worried about our parents. People over sixty-five are being told they are basically useless in this crisis. They feel like a burden simply Read more
