A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • I’m so glad God can see in the dark, aren’t you?

I’m so glad God can see in the dark, aren’t you?

Psalms 139 states that God sees in the dark. More than that, it states that dark is actually light to God. “even the dark is not dark to you; the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are the same to you.” I’ve been using a new (to me anyway), Bible study Read more

This is a red-letter day. Be sure to read.

Took me long enough, huh? I won’t apologize. Covid-19 threw a wrench into everything, didn’t it? I had to decide. Would I post this first e-book at a time like this? But as I thought about it, I thought, this might just be the perfect time. We are cloistered in our homes. We can’t be Read more

  • If this pandemic is making you feel old.

I found this at James Clear.com. I wanted to share it with you on this Saturday morning. I hope your day goes well. An excerpt from the poem “Youth” by Samuel Ullman, a Jewish poet: “Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red Read more

  • Some good advice from Piglet

“Today was a Difficult Day,” said Pooh. There was a pause. “Do you want to talk about it?” asked Piglet.” No,” said Pooh after a bit. “No, I don’t think I do.” “That’s okay,” said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend. “What are you doing?” asked Pooh. “Nothing, really,” said Piglet. “Only, Read more

  • “A neglected garden.” A poem.

(I found this in my draft file. I just love this. The truth? I don’t know if I wrote it or not. I hope I did. But if I had I think I would have posted it right away. I wish I knew the author. If you do, let me know. Enjoy it anyway, whoever Read more

  • My unusually painted chair.

    My unusually painted chair.

(Last year at this time, we were refinishing our basement. This post is from then.) We are remodeling our basement. Not an expensive remodel and except for the ceiling, we’ve done it all ourselves. Even at that, it cost enough. I needed a new chair for a table in the basement. I decided to use Read more
