A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • Guarding against self-sacrifice. Why it’s wrong.

Guarding against self-sacrifice. Why it’s wrong.

We Christians so often think it’s necessary to sacrifice for God, that somehow it makes us holier. It doesn’t. And no where does Scripture say it is. Should GOD call us to give up something, that’s an entirely different story but He will make that very clear as He did with Abraham. (Genesis 22:2) Abraham Read more

  • Tangled messes and tangled lives

Pinterest can be misleading. I read somewhere that it’s a good idea to wash your yarn ahead of time  with added fabric softener to soften and fluff it up. Sounds good, right?  The instructions said to use a mesh bag which I did. But I think I should have re-balled the yarn tightly first and Read more

  • It isn’t always about you.

    It isn’t always about you.

I think most of us figure that when we’re struggling with something, it’s all about us, what we’re experiencing and what we’re supposed to learn from it, but that’s not necessarily true. It might be that we are going through a struggle so that down the road we can be of help to someone else, Read more

  • Why doesn’t God just make us to the right thing

Boy, I wish sometime God would just MAKE me do that thing I should do but keep putting off. I mean, really. He can move mountains but unless I cooperate He can’t move me. I find that very frustrating. And yet, if I didn’t have the freedom to choose, ny love for God would be Read more
