Which side of the road are you on?

No, it’s not a leading question. It’s not meant to mean something it doesn’t. But now that I’ve written it, I’m definitely going to use it in the future for a completely different purpose.

I mean it’s a really good question on so many different levels, isn’t it? But that’s for a future post.

Anyway………

I took a long walk this afternoon. Hubby was fishing or it would have been the two of us.

I walk walking along the road when I encountered another couple walking towards me. Obviously, one of us was not on the right side of the road.

I am amazed the number of people that ride and walk on the wrong side of the road. I guess I thought everyone knew the law but apparently not. So here it is

When walking you walk facing the traffic.

When you ride (any vehicle), you ride with the traffic.

So now you know.

By the way, on my return walk home, I encountered the same couple. I so wanted to ask them, “Are you aware you are walking on the wrong side of the road?” I didn’t. But I couldn’t help but wonder if it ever occurred to them that one of us was wrong.
