A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • diy/wall placques

These are some plaques I made a couple of years ago. Because I was a very novice blogger at that time, it didn’t occur to me to take “process” pictures. The words I chose are from Psalm 46:10, one of, if not my all-time, favorite Bible verses. I am not a “still” person inside or… Read more

  • wings of the wind

I love the imagery of the Psalms. I guess that’s because I’m a creative person and I love to visualize things. Colors, design, patterns all excite me. So when I come across a portion of Scripture that really speaks to that part of my brain, I get really excited. Like today. Psalm: 104. 3b and:… Read more

  • Dancing With the Stars

Don’t know how many of you watch DWTS but I do. This year is the first time I can remember that a contestant has been on the show that openly proclaims her Christianity. That person is Candace Cameron Bure from the old sitcom series, Full House.  As most you of you know her and her… Read more

  • prayer is more than words

Tomorrow my hubby and I are painting my mother’s bedroom. She’s so excited. She’s been sanding down some rough spots (no, not on a chair or ladder, only what she can easily reach), filling in nail holes, etc. She has all kind of plans to repaint her bedroom furniture. Kind of unbelievable, huh? She fell (http://goodthoughtsgoodlives.com/2012/10/02/in-a-heartbeatdepression/September, 2012.)about… Read more

  • Weighing the heart

Reading today from Proverbs 21. Sometimes I feel like I have to sacrifice more than even God requires. How good to be reminded that what God desires is that I do right and provide justice for those who need an advocate. Later on in verse 13, we are told that if we don’t reach out… Read more

  • diy/little silver horse

I spray painted it silver. It was going to be glued on the top of a jewelry box for a kind of quirky  look but I decided it was too big. Can’t decide where it’s going to go now. Ideas, anyone?
