A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

how to make some inexpensive beautiful mirrors

I’ve recently become obsessed with making mirrors. Here are two them. All supplies were from The Dollar Tree. This first mirror frame is quite light so the beads actually help weight it down a little and hang better. I didn’t actually “make” this mirror, just embellished it. This first project took all of about twenty minutes. It Read more

  • stop the snowballing of negative thoughts

We’re up at “teeny, tiny red cabin” for a few days. As I was driving down a back country road yesterday, I was listening to a financial advisor give some pointers about avoiding money mistakes. He said that when we mess up the first time, there are relatively small consequences, (like if we overspent on Read more

  • Do we inherit depression?

Do we inherit depression? Do we inherit depression?  Are we doomed if family members are plagued with depression? The answer is no. While there is an inherited tendency towards depression, it isn’t written in stone. I’m sure most of you have heard about the famous twins study. In case you haven’t, here it is. A group Read more

  • Dollar Tree Mirror/Crafting

Dollar Tree Mirror/Crafting I’ve recently made about four mirrors recently and they are all my design. All supplies were from The Dollar Tree. The mirror frame is quite light so the beads actually help weight it down a little and hang better. I used Super Glue on this mirror, also from the Dollar Tree. Whole Read more

  • Melt-down Monday again

My husband and I pass by this on the mornings we walk. I get ticked off every time. My husband just laughs at me. You will notice the vertical sign that reads “FREE”. But notice the tin can and the words painted underneath,”donations welcome”. So which is it? I mean can I really take a Read more
