A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

    unwelcomed changes

A “breath” prayer is a prayer that is said fairly quickly, often with just one breath.  The ancient monks often prayed, “Lord, have mercy” as their “breath” prayers.  Christians often repeat the name, “Jesus”. I have a number of “breath” prayers.  A few of my favorites are, “Be still and know”, “He makes me lie down”, “Be anxious for… Read more

I coated the pan with oil and grilled the mushrooms first. Then grape tomatoes and finally some cauliflower (already partially “nuked”). Put them all in… Read more

nipping depression’s influence first thing in the morning or why I get up every day and brush my teeth

Good morning, everyone. It occurred to me as I was cleaning up, washing my hair, and deciding what to wear, how important the most seemingly trivial acts are in combating depression. I’ve written about this before but am reminding us all again, including me. This is something I’ve always done no matter how depressed I… Read more

Share another’s burden but don’t carry the whole load yourself

Don’t you just hate it when everything is going great and someone tries to drag you into their drama? I’ve found myself in this situation more than once. Can I just give a little advice?     Don’t get caught up in someone else’s drama. Usually this occurs when someone wants to unload their problems… Read more

how I created a unique backsplash for my laundry room

My hubby and I have been going through our entire house and updating it. We are penny pinchers and so I really had to get creative. We painted my laundry room a wonderful seafoam color but seeing as I use the laundry tub for things I shouldn’t instead of going downstairs and using the ones in… Read more
