A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • Alphabet of thanks, “J”

“J” I think everyone will agree with me today. I’m thankful for “Joy”. Pure, unspoiled joy. Who isn’t? Joy, unlike happiness, exists regardless of circumstances. For me it is the joy of knowing I am loved by God, period. It’s the joy of knowing that I’m forgiven when I screw up. It’s knowing grace and mercy will always shower… Read more

    Alphabet of thanks, “I”

Intervals. Yep. Intervals. What a strange thing to be grateful for, huh? But not when you really think about it. How would we get through life without intervals? Intervals between struggles. Intervals between depression. Intervals between demands.     Intervals are good. Even on my Elliptical machine, intervals are what gets me through my work-out. Today… Read more

  • Alphabet of thanks, “H”

What to do with “H”. Seeing as I’m having one of my favorite breakfasts this morning, it’s “Honey”. A few years ago my husband was working in Georgia and I went along for the ride. A local restaurant had a a Croissant/honey/nut breakfast roll. I was hooked. So now I have it as often as… Read more

  • Alphabet of thanks, “G”

Today is another easy pick. I’m picking Goodwill. Not the attribute, the store.  I LOVE Goodwill stores! Except for a few pieces, almost all my furniture comes from thrift stores or second-hand shops. Probably eighty percent of my clothes do, too. From what others tell me, I do a pretty good job with putting my house and… Read more

  • Alphabet of thanks, “F”

F, for “future” (Btw, last year I included husbands, children, grandchildren, friends, parents, under the appropriate letter, so didn’t include them this year .) When I think of the future, the concept of “hope” is always present. Hope that a cure will be found for Down Syndrome, cancer, Alzheimers. The future holds such promise. The… Read more

    Alphabet of thanks, “E”

E, for “Easy” Today I’m thankful for “easy” things. Do you know what I mean? There are so many hard things in life. What’s hard for me may not be hard for you. And, of course, the opposite is true. For me, “hard” things are: Avoiding “sweets” Mercurial people Walking Unscrewing lids My hair Emptying the… Read more
