You really need to read this short little post about cats and health care

Our former pastor is a liver transplant patient. He’s had medical issues on and off for years. Now his kidney’s are in crisis. He and his wife are currently at Cleveland Clinic. I follow them on their “Caring Bridge” page.

Here’s an excerpt from her entry for today. It brought tears to my eyes. This excerpt is from a book on tape they are listening to and it’s written by someone from Nairobi:

“A young boy asked an American if it was true that Americans had cats and dogs as pets that lived in their house and had food and medical care.

When the American replied “Yes”, the young boy said “I wish I was a cat in America.”
