A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • anyway

anyway I read this book a few years ago and I thought I’d share some of the precepts over the next two days. “People are illogicial, unreasonable, and self-centered.” Love them anyway. “If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.” Do it anway. If you are successful, you will win false friends… Read more

  • a messy life

(I painted the picture above on YUPO paper. I have no idea what it’s supposed to be but l like it. It reminds me that life is ambiguous at best.) a messy life I don’t know about you but I find life pretty messy a lot of time. The perplexities, the questions, the downright confusion. I have a hard time understanding… Read more

  • a can of paint

a can of paint It’s amazing how painting a room can brighten our day. A dear friend of mine just repainted her kitchen. I did the edging and the trim because, frankly, she does a terrible job. :). She chose a wonderful yellow-green color. I’m encouraging her to paint her two interior doors in the kitchen… Read more

  • doubts

doubts I sure am glad my last post was about grace because today I’m feelin’ the lack of it.  Doesn’t mean it isn’t there.  God’s grace probably shines on us more often than we realize. I’m not doubting that today. Just doubting. Do you ever have days like that?  Days when you’re feeling “unsettled”, not quite… Read more

  • Grace Unleashed

Grace Unleashed Just a quick post today but an important one. Sometimes God (You may call your power source something else. For me, He’s God.) shoots grace our way  when we least expect it. We might not even recognize it till after the fact. We should, of course. Especially if it’s been a matter of concern.  But maybe that’s exactly… Read more

what happens in Vegas doesn’t…… (Before I get to the main focus of this post, just wanted to give you an update about where we are with this renovation project.  Actually, I probably shouldn’t call it that because we haven’t demolished anything or ripped anything up but carpet and wallpaper which maybe only qualifies for… Read more
