A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • great find over the week-end

Had to show you a great find from a garage sale over the week-end. It’s an antique oil can from Britain. The woman at the garage sale bought it about forty years ago and it was old then. What is fascinating is that the rust has produced no holes. Here’s another view. Here’s the embossed name Read more

  • a mundane day

Most of us think we’re supposed to feel happy every day. Of course we should anticipate good things, but haven’t we all had days when no matter how much we hope for good, bad still happened?  I’m not talking about crisis’s.  That’s a whole different thing. I’m talking about the comments that hurt us, the sour faces we run into (including our own), the Read more

  • everyday heroes

I was watching the Olympics this past winter and I was really impressed with their efforts and their sacrifices. But then I got to thinking about the heroes of everyday life. I know a few of them myself. People who have overcome great odds, people who will face great challenges in their future. But what about Read more

  • roller coaster depression

Wanted to encourage those of you today who are struggling with your recovery from depression. Sometimes it feels like you’re never going to get better. That’s scary. You’re sure you can’t take another day, no, not even another minute, of this misery. Just like in the grieving process, we recover from depression in leaps and bursts. We Read more

  • not feeling the connection

I hate days like today. Days I’m not feeling really connected with God. I want to feel that intimacy all the time and it bothers me that, frankly, I don’t always. (BTW, another dark, gloomy, cool day here in MI.) I’m not discouraged or overly concerned with anything. God and I had some quality time Read more
