A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • Why women love their jeans

Is there a woman alive who doesn’t love her jeans?  I know why I love mine. They hold me in. They lift me up. They make me look ten pounds lighter. I can wear them for three or four days before they start to lose their shape.  They look great dressed up or dressed down. Read more

Thankfulness/I Identity, ideals, ice, ignorance, illogical, illusion, imagination, impatience, imperfect, impossible, individual, infinity, information, integrity Today I’m grateful for ignorance. Yep. Ignorance. Sometimes it’s just good to not know some things.  Sometimes I choose ignorance. I choose not to know what celebrities are doing, who they’re dating or divorcing, what rehab they’re going through. Read more

  • thankfulness/H

thankfulness/H Today I’m thankful for my home. It shelters me behind its old, thick walls. It’s warm and inviting. It has been my haven, the place I feel most protected. It has kept me and my family safe for years. It has been a wonderful backdrop for my many decorating projects. I’m even thankful Read more

  • thankfulness/Q

Quality, qualify, quake, quarrel, quilt, quiet, quirky. Today I am thankful for quiet. (Quiet doesn’t necessarily mean lack of noise. We can be quiet within even when it’s noisy around us. But for this post, I’m referring to quiet as the lack of noise.) I’m not one of those people who need someone around all Read more

  • thankfulness/G

Thankfulness/G Today is another easy pick. I’m picking Goodwill. Not the attribute, the store.  I LOVE Goodwill stores! Except for a few pieces, almost all my furniture comes from thrift stores or second-hand shops. Other countries have them as well. They just have different names. Probably ninety percent of my clothes do, too.  From Read more

  • Why God smiles big when He sees us being creative.

I love creating anything and I think God smiles really big when He sees us being creative. A few years ago, starting November first, I used a letter of the alphabet and noted the things I was thankful for starting with the letter of the day. I’m thinking of doing it again this year. It Read more
