A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • Why Christ died for us

    Why Christ died for us

Why Christ died for us is impossible to understand. It was such a sacrifice. We honor that sacrifice by accepting that sacrifice and trusting God every day. But just because we are acceptable in Christ doesn’t mean we can behave however we choose. That Christ died for me, therefore I get to do what I… Read more

  • WHEN YOU WANT TO HIDE

    WHEN YOU WANT TO HIDE

When you want to hide, I have some good news for you. But first, we all feel like that sometimes, don’t we? It’s not that we’re particularly upset; it’s just that there’s so much on our plate. And it’s not all dessert, either. I’d be OK with that. And it’s not that it’s all broccoli,… Read more

How to live under cloudy skies

Cloudy skies. But sometimes, it’s not easy maintaining a positive attitude when dark clouds seemed stalled over your head and there’s a lot of stuff going on in your life. While there is a break in the clouds on occasion, mostly it’s overcast. God seems to have spread a gray sheet between Him and us.… Read more

Emotional energy, how to restore. # 3 in stepping-away

Emotional energy is reason # 3 for stepping away for a while. What is emotional energy? Emotional energy is the feeling we have when we feel rested, our minds are clear, and we look forward to the day. I’ve written about this subject a lot, probably because for most of my life I depleted my… Read more

How to rest our minds. # 2 in stepping-away

Now we will look at how to rest our minds. This is the #2 way to step away. Yesterday was all about stepping away from a project to find refreshment and perhaps greater clarity. Our minds need rest, too Most of the time we don’t think that our minds need a rest, but they really… Read more
