A new approach. I hope you like it.
Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.
So, what do you think?
Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?
Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.
If faith doesn’t work during times of illness, when will it?
I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

Originally, the “worm” was a reference to “depression” and now that subject Read more

just because a door opens doesn’t mean you should walk through it
(Heads up-this is a longer post than usual. Just wanted you to know.) “God never opens doors that have been closed. He opens other doors, but He reminds us that there are doors we have shut (bold is mine), doors which need never have been shut, imaginations which need never have been sullied. Never be Read more

junk words/couch potato
When we’re depressed, it’s so easy to become a “couch potato”. We turn on the tv just for background noise and then find ourselves aimlessly watching anything on the screen. Pretty soon the day is gone. We go to bed frustrated and unfulfilled and bemoan how we feel. It never occurs to us that maybe Read more

Boston
I’ll never understand why there are people in this world who seem to live only to hurt others. Wait a minute, yes, I do. There is evil in this world, therefore there are evil people. Some misguided persons can suggest that these people have been hurt themselves which is why they hurt others. Sorry. Read more

sticks and stones and words
Why are some people so mean and thoughtless? Why am I at times? Why do we say things so unkind? Why do we use words like retarded and stupid? Hey, I’ve done it, too when I haven’t had the good sense to think before I speak. Words by themselves are fairly neutral but we all know Read more
